NCP asks CM to call all party meet

JAMMU, July 12: NCP asked the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to call all party meet in Srinagar and Jammu to bring normalcy in the State.
Addressing a press conference, Randhir Singh, president and former Minister Randhir Singh said that the situation in Kashmir has worsened after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen Commander, Burhan Wani.
Many people lost their lives and many others got injured in clashed erupted after the killing of Burhan Wani. Shri Amarnath yatris are stranded at Srinagar Tourist Centre, Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar Jammu and at different places, he added.
He asked the Government to immediately take steps on war footing to provide full proof security to the pilgrims, so that they can perform darshan at Shri Amarnath cave and can go back to their native areas. He also asked the Government to provide free travelling to the yatris by train or places vis-à-vis food.
Singh stated that the all the yatris have exhausted their resources and appealed to the Governor NN Vohra, who is Chairman of Shri Amarnath Shine Board to provide the funds.
He added that the all the MLAs, MLCs and even Ministers should take steps to ensure peaceful atmosphere in their respective areas and constituencies.
“In the past, all the Chief Ministers used to call all party meet and present Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti should also call the same immediately at Srinagar and Jammu”, he added.
