JAMMU, July 14: Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Mandeep Kaur today challaned the Executive Engineer, R&B Division II, Jammu for dumping mulba along road side at Sidhra Bye Pass.
PWD Department was collecting mulba from the sites where their works were going on and dumping the same at the banks of river Tawi.
On spot vehicles of PWD Department including one tractor trolley bearing registration number JK02AW-6881 and truck bearing registration number JK02BL-4832 were seized by Commissioner, JMC found dumping mulba on road side.
Commissioner, JMC further appealed to general masses not to throw any kind of mulba on road side or throw the same in river Tawi as this is the main cause of over flooding of river Tawi during monsoon season, if anyone found doing so, will be challaned under relevant provisions of law.
