JAMMU, July 15: Bakshi Nagar police recovered a pistol from a vehicle, while the miscreants managed to escape from the spot taking benefit of the darkness.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bakshi Nagar police station laid a naka and intercepted a Wagon-R car.
As the cops were checking the vehicle, two persons traveling in the car managed to escape from the spot taking benefit of the darkness.
During checking, police recovered a pistol from the car and seized it. Manhunt has been launched to nab the persons traveling in the car.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Bakshi Nagar police station in this regard and investigation started.
The persons traveling in the car were probably on their way to eliminate their rivals, but police thwarted their attempts.
Police team led by SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Ashwani Sharma seized the pistol under the supervision of SDPO West Nikhil Rasgotra and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
