Gaurang of MBS College bags Ist place

JAMMU, Sept 23: As part of ‘Display Your Talent 2012-13’, the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, held a Photography competition at Bagh-e-Bahu, here today.
The vivid photographs included Bahu Fort, Mandi Mubarak, the heritage of the City of Temples, River Tawi, Chirping Birds, Mother and Child Monkeys, Blooming Flowers, Creepers embracing the trees, gushing Springs and Fountains.
The first place was bagged by Gaurang Gupta of MBS College of Engineering and Technology, while Satpal Singh of Department of Commerce, University of Jammu, was adjudged second in the competition and the third place went to Vani Mahajan of Government College for Women, Parade.
60 students drawn from Jammu University and its affiliate Colleges participated in the event.
Yogesh Manhas, Vijay Kerni and Tumul Magotra were the adjudicators for the competition, while the contest was held under the overall supervision of Dr Sarabjeet Kour.
Prof NK Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare distributed prizes and certificates among the participants.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Divya Mahajan, Vaibhav Sharma and Kulbushan Thakur.
