Sai, Rajiv-Sameer, Oriental Clubs smash rivals, register berths in next stage

*Raj, Vinod, Vimarsh bag ‘Man of the Match’ awards

JAMMU, July 17: Sai Cricket Club (SCC), Rajiv-Sameer Cricket Club (RSCC) and Oriental Cricket Club (OCC) smashed rivals in their respective matches and registered berths in the next stage of the ongoing 1st Pink Ball Cricket Tournament for KPs, being organized by Krish Events and Sports at KC College ground, here today.
In the first match played between Sai Cricket Club (SCC) and Surender Cricket Club (SCC), the former registered win by a 75 runs and sailed into the next round of the tourney.
Batting first after winning the toss, Sai Cricket Club (SCC) scored 214 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Raj Bhat played a magnificent inning of 123 runs in just 59 balls, while Ashu Bhat made 43 runs in 32 balls.
From Surender Cricket Club (SCC) side, Suman scalped 2 wickets, while Rajesh took one wicket.
In reply, Surender Cricket Club (SCC) failed to chase the target and bundled out at 139 runs by losing 5 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Kamal Zadoo was the top scorer with 51 runs in 39 balls, while Deepak Koul made 37 runs off 30 balls.
From Sai Cricket Club (SCC) side, Jagnu took 2 wickets, while Arvind managed to clinch one wicket.
Raj Bhat of Sai Cricket Club (SCC) was adjudged as Man of the Match for his brilliant century.
In the second match, Rajiv-Sameer Cricket Club (RSCC) smashed Whites Cricket Club (WCC) by 38 runs and registered berth in the next phase of the tournament.
Batting first, RSCC made 134 runs for all out in 19.4 overs. Naman was the top scorer with 43 runs in 28 balls, while Vishu scored 35 runs in 33 balls and Vinod Bhat made 20 runs.
From WCC side, Ravi took 3 wickets and Rahul scalped 2 wickets.
In the second inning, WCC collapsed at 96 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Kamalpreet scored 20 runs, while Sidharth made 12 runs.
From RSCC side, Rahul and Vinod scalped 2 wickets each.
Vinod Bhat was declared as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
Meanwhile, Oriental Cricket Club (OCC) outplayed Gopinath Cricket Club (GCC) by a huge margin of 179 runs and entered into the next round of the tourney.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, OCC made 211 runs by losing 6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Rohan chipped in 69 runs in 34 balls, while Vimarsh scored 40 runs off 19 balls.
From GCC side, Sunil and Balkrishan took 2 wickets each.
In reply, GCC bundled out at paltry 32 runs for all out in 10.4 overs. Rahul made 5 runs.
From OCC side, Vimarsh and Praful Dhar displayed exemplary bowling skills and scalped 3 wickets each.
Vimarsh of OCC was declared as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
The matches were officiated by Rakesh and Sunny as umpires, while Faiz acted as scorer and Jitendra Jotshi was commentator.
On the occasion, Sushil was the chief guest, who presented Man of the Match awards.
The tournament is being organized under the supervision of Sagar Sadhu and Ave Kachroo from Krish Sports and Events.
