JAMMU, July 18: Various Sikh bodies of Jammu and Kashmir today urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to allow all party delegation to visit Kashmir and find out ground realities there in view of present turmoil.
In an emergency meeting of various Sikh organizations held here today and attended by representatives from Bhai Kanhaiya Nishkam Sewa Society J&K and Ex-member DGPC Jammu, Sikh United Front, All India Students Sikh Federation, Sikh Naujawan Sabha and Sikh Welfare Society, the speakers expressed grave concern over the situation in Kashmir. They offered their condolences to the families of the youth, who died during turmoil.
They appealed to the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to form a committee of all the political parties and a delegation should be sent to Kashmir to know, the ground reality and have interaction with the people.
They said due to bandh and strikes in Kashmir the business of the people is suffering. School- colleges are closed and people are suffering huge losses. Some foreign forces are hell bent upon to disturb the secular fabric of the society here.
The members appealed the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to ensure that all party delegation should interact with cross section of society so as to reach closer to the resolution of Kashmir problem. They said that a large number innocent youth have been killed and there should an end to the bloodshed now.
Prominent among those who participated in the meeting included Avtar Singh Khalsa, Dharbinder Singh, Ramneek Singh, S Raja Singh, Fateh Singh- Members DGPC Jammu, Surinder Singh Kala, convenor J&K Motor Transport Companies Association Jammu, Paramjeet Singh, Kulwant Singh, Harpal Singh Prince, Surjeet Singh Kuku, Kuldeep Singh Malik, Gajan Singh, Rajinder Singh, Manmohan Singh, Tejpal Singh, Kultar Singh and Charanveer Singh.
