PM asks party MPs to work harder in Parliament

NEW DELHI: Expressing satisfaction over the feedback received about the work done during the first two years of his Government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today asked BJP MPs to take the new initiatives to the people and also work harder in Parliament for pushing up the developmental agenda.
”The Prime Minister, who was today briefed about the feedback from across the country by a team of officers which visited 190 centres of the country, expressed happiness over the ”good” response to the government work and called for keeping up the momentum,” Minister for Information and Broadcasting Venkaiah Naidu told reporters here after a meeting of the BJP Parliamentary committee.
The feedback comprised of inputs received in interactions with farmers, representatives of people and industry, among others.
Mr Modi asked the MPs to keep the level of debate in Parliament high, Mr Naidu said.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj briefed the meeting about the recent visit of the Prime Minister to foreign countries, and he was given a standing ovation by the MPs on the highest civilian honour conferred on him during his visit to Afghanistan.
The Prime Minister also discussed the programmes to be held across the country on the 70th year of Independence, Mr Naidu said. (AGENCIES)
