WCC beats SCC by 17 runs

JAMMU, July 20: Whites Cricket Club (WCC) beat Sai Cricket Club (SCC) by 17 runs in a thrilling match played here today at KC Sports Club in 1st KPL Pink Cricket Tournament.
Batting first WCC scored 118 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Ravi scored highest 39 runs for the team while Kamal also scored 22 runs in 31 balls. For SCC, Arvind took three important wickets by giving 30 runs in 4-over spell while Ashu also claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, SCC failed to chase the target and bundled out on 101 in 18.3 overs. Surinder made 21 runs in 22 balls while Ashu scored 14 runs in 19 balls. For WCC, Bharat was the wrecker in chief, who took 5 wickets in his 4-over spell by giving just 14 runs. Rohit also took three wickets in his two-over spell.
Bharat was declared as Man of the Match for his splendid performance with the ball.
The matches were officiated by Rakesh and Sunny as umpires while Rehan acted as scorer. Today’s chief guests were Shashi and Vivek Singh (Ranji players). The tournament is being organized by Krish Sports.
