KHC warns political parties playing negative role on Kashmir

JAMMU, July 20: Kashmir Hindu Conference (KHC) today warned the political parties as well as the vested interests playing a negative role that has further aggravated the situation in the Valley.
The KHC which met here, today under the chairmanship of advocate M L Thussu said that instead of playing a positive role to defuse the crisis in Kashmir the political parties having vested interests are playing a negative role thereby adding acid to injury.
The KHC leaders expressed grave concern over the atrocities committed on the community members especially package employees staying in various transit camps in the Valley. It said the attacks on the quarters of package employees by frenzy mob is a cause of concern as it has vindicated the stand of the saner elements in the community that rehabilitation of Pandits was possible only at a single place in Valley and not at their original paces.
It said the package employees have also lost the faith in the majority community of the Valley which failed to ensure security to them.
The meeting urged the Central Government assert against the enemy agents working on the behest of Pakistan and ISI. It said thousands of para military forces were injured in stone pelting but not a single leader wept for them while a hue and cry is made over the killing of enemy agents, it added.
The meeting demanded fool proof security to package employees and left over members of minority community in the Valley. PL Koul Badgami convener KHC, Jai Krishan Raina Maktoom, M L Daftri, K L Ganjoo, S N Raina and A K Sadhoo addressed the meeting.
