JAMMU, July 21: The protest demonstration of Prime Minister’s Package Employees and employees of batch 2007 & 09 working in valley continued on the seventh  consecutive day here at Relief Commissioner’s office in  support of their lone demand of adjustment in Jammu after their transit camps at many places across Valley have been targeted by the mob in recent violence.
Hundreds of aggrieved employees including women were demanding justice to their demands after everything went wrong in their favour in recent violence in Valley.  They were alleging that State machinery has completely collapsed to protect them during mob violence and whatever they have experienced it seems not only difficult but very impossible for them to resume their duties back in Valley.
Holding placards and Tricolour  in their hands, the protesting employees were raising louder slogans in support of their demands. They said “the posts created under PM’s employment package are additional one and it won’t affect anyone if we will be transferred to any place. Also, our burden of salaries is directly being borne by the Centre so, we are not burden on the State,” said, Rakesh Pandita, a package employee.
“I have been appointed in valley in 2007 and many of friends in 2009, we too are victims of recent violence,” said, Vimal Pandita, adding they have also seen violence in 2008 and with the result it was their second migration in last eight years. “I want to know from the Government how many times I have to migrate from valley for safety,” he added.
The protesting employees have made an appeal to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minister for Home Affairs Rajnath Singh to address the grievances and concerns of the employees as soon as possible so that they could not suffer any more. They have made it clear that till their demand is not accepted, they will continue protest.
