JCC, SCC, NSCC win matches

JAMMU, July 23: Jhelum Cricket Club (JCC), Sharda Cricket Club (SCC) and New Star Cricket Club (NSCC) won their respective matches played today at KC Sports Club in 1st KPL Pink Cricket Tournament.
Today’s first match was played between Bharat Cricket Club (BCC) and JCC. Batting first, BCC scored 100 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Rakesh scored 25 runs in 35 balls while Romil also scored 30 runs in 36 balls. For JCC, Sanjay took five important wickets by giving just 17 runs in his 4-over spell while Ramesh Pandita also claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, JCC easily chased the target in 11.3 overs by losing only one wicket and thus won the match. Vishal made 50 runs in 29 balls while Kirti scored 30 runs in 34 balls. For BCC, the only wicket was picked up by Karan. Sanjay was declared as man of the match for his splendid performance with the ball.
The second match was played between SCC and Brahm Cricket Club (BCC). Batting first, BCC set a target of 101 runs for the opponent. In the process, BCC lost its all wickets in 18.5 overs. Vikas scored 29 runs in 31 balls while Sarthak made 24 runs in 18 balls. For SCC, Sumit balled tightly and took six important wickets by conceding only 13 runs in his 4-over spell while Ankush also claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, SCC easily chased the target in 16 overs and won the match by 4 wickets. Akash Raina made 22 runs in 23 balls whereas Anshul Pandita scored 21 runs in 18 balls. For BCC, Rajesh took three wickets by giving 16 runs in his 4-over spell. Sumit was adjudged as man of the match for his impressive performance with the ball.
The third match of the day was played between NSCC and Milan Cricket Club (MCC). Batting first, NSCC scored 139 runs in 16 overs by losing 6 wickets. Shashi scored highest 54 runs for the team while Rohit also made 27 runs. For MCC, Ankur took three important wickets by giving 30 runs in his 3-over spell while Nitu also claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, MCC failed to chase the target and bundled out on a paltry score of 34 runs in 7.3 overs. Thus, NSCC won the match by a big margin of 105 runs. Both Ankur and Arvind made 8 runs each for the team For NSCC, Rahul took 4 wickets by conceding just 7 runs while Rohit picked up three by giving just 8 runs. Rahul Musa was declared as man of the match for his all round performance.
The matches were officiated by Rakesh and Sunny as umpires while Rehan Rana acted as scorer. The tournament is being organized by Krish Sports.
