SRINGAR, Sept 24: To make the Kashmir Golf Club, Srinagar functional in a professional manner, Chief Secretary Madhav Lal has stressed for up-gradation of its facilities to the satisfaction of the members of the general body.
The Chief Secretary said this while addressing 25th Annual General Body meeting of the Kashmir Golf Club here this afternoon.
He said with the cooperation of the members, it should be possible to restore and improve the facilities of the club over a period of time. He further said that the newly constituted executive committee will make an in-depth assessment of the problems faced by the club and make earnest efforts to resolve the same.
He also sought the cooperation of the members for prompt payment to improve the financial position of the club. He said together, we will have to think of ways and means of raising the revenues and ensuring timely payments for viability of this club.
The Chief Secretary was informed that with the help of tourism department, the work on the reception hall is in progress.
