UDHAMPUR, July 26: Dead body of a three-year old girl, who was missing since July 18, was recovered from Ujh river in Chakal, Basantgarh, here today.
The deceased was identified as Diksha Kajal (03), daughter of Bodh Raj of village Chakal Basantgarh. Police took the body to Primary Health Center (PHC) Basantgarh.
Family of the girl had lodged a report of her missing since July 18.
After postmortem the dead body was handed over to the family members. Police has also registered a case in this connection and started further investigation.
Meanwhile, driver of a Tata Sumo was injured when the vehicle rolled down in a deep gorge near Kud.
The Tata-Sumo, bearing registration JK13C-3134, was on way from Jammu to Kashmir when it met with accident at Dogra. The injured, identified as Imam Hussain (30), son of Altaf Hussain of Bijbihara Kashmir, has been admitted in District Hospital Udhampur.
