JAMMU, July 27: Jammu Kashmir Shri Ram Sena has expressed serious concern over havoc caused by torrential rains today in which two innocent lives were lost and properties worth crores damaged due to subsequent flash floods.
Addressing media persons here today, Shri Ram Sena, State president, Rajiv Mahajan, said that flash flood in Excelsior Lane Janipur this morning washed away two school going young girls. Mahajan expressed shock over the incident and expressed sympathy with the bereaved families.
Mahajan appealed to Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, to find out the cause of flood situation in Jammu city. He asked the JMC Commissioner to concentrate more on civic amenities rather than chasing out poor Rehriwalas who pull rehries to earn their livelihood.
He appealed to JMC Commissioner to engage men and machinery to clear chocking of all drains so that loss of property and life is contained in future.
