ITBP jawan among 3 found dead

JAMMU, July 27: Three persons including an ITBP Jawan were today found dead at separate places in city and its outskirts.
“One Narayan Bahadur Thappa (47) son of Man Bahadur Thappa, resident of Madhya Pradesh and a cook in ITBP Battalion based at Ghagwal in Samba district, was today found dead from Jhelum Express, when it reached Railway Station, Jammu this afternoon”, a police spokesman said.
He said that body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu and case in this connection registered at police station GRP Jammu.
An unidentified body of a man of age about 40 years was recovered this evening from Nikki Tawi falling under the jurisdiction of police post Canal Road. The police reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification and post mortem.
Later, the deceased was identified as Rampal son of Tara Chand, resident of Narayan Khoo near Nagrota. A missing complaint of the deceased stands registered at police station Nagrota on July 25. Nowabad police had registered a case in this connection.
Meanwhile, in mysterious circumstances, a dead body of an unknown male was also recovered this evening near Royal Palm Flats falling under the limits of police post Talab Tillo. The deceased is about 30-35 years of age. “The man died probably due to fall from terrace of Royal Palm”, a police spokesman said, adding the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary of GMC&H Jammu and a case under 174 CrPC registered at concerned police station.
