Freight rates decline on excess trucks position
NEW DELHI, July 30:  Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section eased by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following easy position of trucks amid restricted cargo movements.
Transporters said comfortable trucks position in the markets against slowdown in cargo movements, mainly led to decline freight rates for some destinations.
Delhi to Kanpur, Jaipur and Chandigarh fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 23,500, Rs 16,000 and Rs 17,000.
Rates to Gwalior and Goa also moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 15,000 and Rs 56,000.
