Div Com for smooth functioning of schools in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, July 30: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting to review the smooth functioning of all educational institutions of Valley.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, IGP Kashmir, Principal GMC Srinagar, Principals of various schools besides the officers of Health, Floriculture, EM&RE PHE, R&B, Urban Local bodies besides, other concerned officers.
The Deputy Commissioners of the Valley participated the meeting through video conference and informed the Divisional Commissioner about the law and order and smooth functioning of schools in their respective districts.
The meeting was informed that the concerned district administrations will provide every possible support to ensure smooth functioning of the schools. The heads of institutions were asked to monitor the attendance of their staff as well as students besides, functioning of the schools in their respective zones.
The Divisional Commissioner suggested the school authorities to seek cooperation from the parents and other concerned people to ensure attendance of their wards in the school.
Mr Baseer assured that the administration will provide every possible support in this regard. He said that the heads of the educational institutions have to play vital role to brighten the future of new generation.
Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir while reviewing the overall law and order situation in the valley directed the concerned authorities to check any illegal constructions in their respective districts and stressed for demolishing such illegal constructions that happened to be constructed during this period.
The meeting was informed that the health institutions have adequate stock of medicine besides ambulances are also available to meet any emergency.
The Divisional Commissioner was informed that sufficient stock of essential commodities is available in all districts of the valley.
Divisional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners reiterated their appeal to public for assisting civil Administration in restoring peace.
