Aspirations of Kashmiris

Sir,
Apropos Shafiq Mir  homily ‘Who will bell the cat ?” (DE, July 29, 2016) wherein he advises the Indian civil society ‘to come to Kashmir and assure the people that they will represent their aspirations at the central level without any bloodshed and violence,’ I request Mr Mir to spell out the list of their ‘aspirations’. Azaadi, Pakistan or Islamisation? I don’t blame them for the first two, the seeds of which were sown by our first PM Mr Nehru in his Lal Chowk speech. ‘Lamhoon nay khatta ki aur sadiyoon nay sazaa payi’. As for Islamisation I don’t blame them either because it is universal Islamic phenomena at present. I ask Mir Sahib how, in his opinion, can Indian civil society help Kashmiris in achieving their aspirations ?
Yours etc….
