JAMMU, July 31: Three wickets haul by Rahul Bhat helped Sai Cricket Club to smash Surender Cricket Club and to register berth in the semis of the ongoing 1st KPL Pink Ball Tournament, being organized by Krish Sports and Event at KC College ground, here today.
Batting first after winning the toss, Sai Cricket Club scored 154 runs for all out in 19.5 overs. Jignu played a splendid inning of 54 runs off 27 balls, while Raju chipped in 53 runs in 24 balls.
From Surender Cricket Club side, Suman and Rajesh Salhotra scalped 2 wickets each.
In reply, Surender Cricket Club failed to chase the target and bundled out at 145 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Rajesh Salhotra made 37 runs in 23 balls and Rohit scored 30 runs off 11 balls.
From Sai Cricket Club side, Rahul Bhat displayed magnificent bowling performance and scalped 3 wickets, while Ashu took 2 wickets.
Rahul Bhat was declared as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Rakesh and Sunny as umpires, while Rehan Rana acted as scorer. Vishal Bhat and Vishal Rajpoot were physiotherapists.
On the occasion, Arvind Raina was chief guest, who awarded the Man of the Match trophy to Rahul Bhat.
The tournament is being held under the supervision of Sagar Sadhu, Ave Kachroo and Rehan Rana from Krish Sports and Event.
