YRS plans Shobha Yatra on Hari Singh’s birthday

JAMMU, Aug 1: Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) has resolved to take out an impressive Shobha Yatra on Sept 23 in connection with the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh.
In a meeting of the YRS held at Ban Talab here today under leadership of Surinder Singh (president), the members reviewed the arrangements/ preparations for the forthcoming birthday celebrations of Maharaja Hari Singh, the last Dogra ruler of the J&K state. A large number office bearers of the Sabha and youth of the Rajput community attended the meeting.
Addressing the members, Surinder Singh Gilli said that YRS started this tradition of Shoba Yatra on the eve of birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh last year and Sabha intends to continue this rally as a festival this year also and in coming years as well. He added that last year many people were not aware of the rally but this year messages have been communicated to most of the parts of the region, so that a large participation of the people/ community members scale could be witnessed at the Shobha yatra.
YRS also urged upon the Government to declare Gazetted Holiday on September 23 as a respect to the last Dogra ruler of the State. They also demanded establishment of Rajput Welfare Board in the State.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included Komal, Sonu, Tinna, Vikram, Rinku, Rajinder, Pushvinder, Manja, Rajveer, Darbinder, Prem, Parveen, Brita, Shakti, Sanjeev and Bindu.
