JAMMU, Aug 1: A young man today allegedly made an abortive attempt on his life by consuming some poisonous substance in RS Pura area of City outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the youth identified as Gurdeep Singh (25) son Bhajan Singh, resident of Dablehar (RS Pura) consumed some poisonous substance at his residence following which family members shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition is stated to be stable.
“However, it was not known why he took this extreme step”, he said, adding the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
