J&K Bank Academy to lock horns with Shaheen Football Club in summit clash tomorrow

JAMMU, Aug 1: J&K Bank Academy will lock horns with Shaheen Football Club in the summit clash of the ongoing 2nd Vishal Heer Memorial Football Tournament, being played at GGM Science College ground, here on August 3.
Earlier, in the first semifinal match, J&K Bank Academy registered win over Jammu Sports by solitary goal. In the first half, players of both the teams strived hard to increase the lead, but failed and the first half ended with no goal.
In the second half, J&K Bank Academy and Jammu Sports players again displayed marvelous skills and restricted each other to raise the scorecard.
However, Rohit Kumar of J&K Bank Academy after finding a loop hole netted the goal in the 77th minute, which the opponent Jammu Sports players failed to equalize and thus lost the match.
From Jammu Sports side, Yellow Card was shown to Sahil and Utkarsh in 28th and 44th minutes respectively.
Meanwhile, in the second semis, Shaheen Football Club crushed Young Hero’s by two goals to zero.
The first half of the match ended with no goal and players of both the teams maintained dominance on each other.
In the second half, Neeraj Thapa of Shaheen Football Club netted the goal in 64th minute and the lead was doubled by Arjun in the 75th minute.
Players of Young Hero’s raided the goal of Shaheen Football Club several times, but failed to equalize the score and paved way to Shaheen Football Club to enter in the final of the tournament.
During the match, the Yellow card was shown to Mohit of Shaheen Football Club in 61st minute and Arun Gill and Gulshan Kumar of Young Hero’s in 28th and 49th minutes respectively.
The matches were officiated by Suresh Gupta, Vijay Kumar, Dil Bahadur, Rickey Kumar and Rohit Gupta.
The matches were witnessed by Sheikh Mehmood, Kuldeep Singh, Surinder Singh Bunty, Mohan Lal, Devi Dass, Ramesh Chander, Charan Dass, Yousuf Don, David Masih, Rohit Kumar, Tushar Heer, Pankaj Kumar, Rajesh Sumberia, etc.
The tournament is being organized by Harbans Lal in the memory of Football player Vishal Heer, who died on October 15, 2013.
