Decomposed male body recovered from Tawi

JAMMU, Aug 1: An unidentified and decomposed male body was recovered today from River Tawi in Belicharana area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a decomposed dead body of an unidentified man of age about 30 to 40 years was spotted last evening by some locals in River Tawi near fourth bridge in Belicharana area.
On getting information from locals, a police team from police post Belicharana led by Sub Inspector Ranjeet Singh Rao reached the spot, evicted the body from canal with the help of a team of SDRF, 2nd Battalion, Jammu, and shifted it to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification
“The deceased appears to be of Hindu religion and is wearing a black short and a brown T-shirt”, the spokesman said, adding a case in this regard has been registered at police station Satwari and further investigations are on.
