MENDHAR, Aug 2:  Senior National Conference leader and Member Legislative Assembly Mendhar,  Javed Ahmed Rana  inaugurated 10 km long Salwah-Pathanateer  road  in his Mendhar constituency today.
The newly constructed road,  completed   under State sector   will benefit over 12,000 souls of the surrounding  areas. Several people of the area, who had gathered extended  gratitude to  MLA for providing this much-needed road that will be beneficial to general public of villages like Pathanteer, Gursai, Kalaban, Salwah.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rana  said it is his dream to provide road connectivity to each and every village of Mendhar constituency and he will continue to strive hard till he achieves it.
Lashing out at PDP-led Government Rana said that this Government  is  not focused to the development of rural and border areas of the State and said that several flagship schemes  and developmental programmes which had been  launched to improve the socio-economic profile of the people by the previous Government have been left half way     He said that this Government has completely failed as it has unable to  address the political aspirations and the basic developmental needs of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Rana questioned the political agenda of the two parties, saying that lack of directions and political will have compounded the perception of political uncertainty in the State whereas, the Government should have tried to provide a hope of inclusive development, reconciliation and peace. He alleged that PDP is solely responsible for the present unrest in the Valley.
The NC leader expressed that the  disenchantment among the people has reached an unprecedented level. The sense of anti-incumbency against present Government within the two years is much greater than the projected fake perception of anti-incumbency against the previous NC-led Government at the culmination of entire six year tenure. While regional polarization and efforts to divide the people on the basis of their religions could have short-term political advantages for the ruling parties, J&K will always stick to its legacy of  secularism and tolerance, he added.
