JTC expresses concern over water scarcity at Jagti

JAMMU, Aug 2: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) was held today under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, president of the Committee.
During the meeting the participants expressed their grave concern over acute drinking water shortages in Jagti township, for the past more than 15 days. The members have said that the inmates of this migrant township are confronted to lot of sufferings due to drinking water supply shortages and the migrants of this township have to procure water from far-off sources by head load.
Pandita while speaking in the meeting has said that existing water supply scheme /water reservoir constructed in Tawi river usually remains defunct during rains and rainy season causing grave sufferings to inmates of this township.
