Man from Kashmir held with illicit liquor

JAMMU, Aug 2: Bus-Stand police arrested a man hailing from Kashmir along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bus-Stand police station laid a naka and subjected a person for checking.
During frisking, police recovered 12 bottles and 20 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the man and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Abdul Hameed Shah, son of Mohammad Jamaal of Bungam, District Kulgam, Kashmir.
A case FIR Number 33/16 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bus-Stand police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bus-Stand Inspector Abid Rafiqi made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Vivek Shekhar Sharma and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
