POONCH, Aug 2: Cross LoC trade between Poonch and Rawlakote remained suspended today as no truck loaded with goods arrived here from the PoK side.
Official sources said that a message was received from the Pakistan Trade Facilitation Officer, Rawlakote this morning that in view of protests and situation in PoK after elections, the trade activities has been suspended by the authorities in PoK for some time. Therefore, no truck would move towards o Chakkan-da-Bagh today.
The trucks loaded with goods at Poonch were ready for onward journey to LoC point this morning. But the vehicles were not allowed to move ahead with the goods by District Administration in view of negative response from Pak side. The trade has been suspended temporarily.
