JAMMU, Aug 3: Inter School and Zone Level Competitions, being organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports in various disciplines was held at different venues, today.
JAMMU: Inter School District Level Competition in the discipline of Tennis Ball for under-19 boys of District Jammu concluded at Green Field, Gandhi Nagar, here today.
In the final match, Bhalwal Zone defeated Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Akhnoor by 2 runs and lifted the title trophy.
Batting first after winning the toss, Bhalwal Zone scored 50 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in stipulated 6 overs. Piyush and Manish made 20 and 19 runs respectively.
In the second inning, Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Akhnoor failed to chase the target and lost the match by just 2 runs by losing 6 wickets.
KATHUA: Inter Zone District Level Tournament in the discipline of Kho-Kho and Volleyball for under-17 boys held here today.
In Volleyball, Lakhanpur emerged winner by defeating Hiranagar by 2-1 sets, whereas in Kho-Kho, Sallan registered victory over Lakhanpur by 3 points.
