JAMMU, Aug 5: New Star Cricket Club (NSCC) thrashed Oriental Cricket Club (OCC) by 2 wickets and clinched the title trophy of the 1st KPL Pink Ball Cricket Tournament, organized by Krish Sports and Event at KC Sports Club, here today.
Batting first after wining the toss, OCC made 135 runs in 20 overs. Vimarsh Kaw scored 37 runs, while Vicky Raina made 31 runs.
From NSCC side, Rahul Musa scalped 3 wickets and Amit took 2 wickets.
In the second inning, NSCC chased the target in 19.5 overs. Vishal Kanth made 45 runs, while Shishu Kant scored 19 runs.
From OCC side, Vimarsh Kaw scalped 3 wickets, while Vicky Raina took 1 wicket.
Rahul Musa was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Rakesh and Sunny as umpires, while Faiz maintained the scorecard.
On the valedictory function, Ashinder Kaul, Former Chairman, JKCA and Chairman, ASKPC was the chief guest, who presented the awards.
Rahul Musa clinched Man of the Series title, while Raj Bhat bagged Best Batsman award, Praful Dhar secured Best Bowler award, Deepak Pandit bagged Best Fielder award, Shishu Bhat secured Best Wicketkeeper award and Ave Kachroo clinched Emerging Player award.
The tournament was organized under the supervision of Sagar Sadhu, Ave Kachroo and Rehan Rana from Krish Sports and Event.
