KATHUA, Aug 5: Inter Zone District Level Competitions in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Wrestling and Cricket for under-14 and 17 boys and girls, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports concluded here at Sports Stadium.
In under-17 cricket final, Kathua registered victory over Lakhanpur by 18 runs. Batting first, Kathua made 59 runs in 12 overs. Gagandeep scored 15 runs whereas Aman clinched 2 wickets.
Lakhanpur failed to chase the target and bundled out at 41 runs thus lost the match by 18 runs.
Earlier, in the first semi-final, Lakhanpur defeated Marheen by 6 wickets and in the second semis, Kathua trounced Barnoti by 23 runs.
On the valedictory function, DYSSO Kathua Sunil Kumar, Activity Incharge Joginder Kumar Khajuria, Rajesh Kumar, Avnesh Kumar, Punjab Singh, Mohan Lal Dub and Sandeepan Sharma were present.
