DPS Jammu organises Inter House Hindi Debate

JAMMU, Aug 9: In its endeavor to enhance the speaking and debating skills of students, Delhi Public School organized Inter House Hindi Debate Competition for Class VIII with the theme “Swatantrata Vicharo Aur Pahnave ki” in the school premises.
The objective of the event was to sharpen critical thinking and analytical & communicative skills of the students.
Total 10 participants from five houses–Ganga, Tawi, Yamuna, Jhelum and Chenab participated enthusiastically and presented their views expressively.
The first position was bagged by Laksh Gandotra of VIII E of Chenab House, while second position was won by Nyasa Dewidi of VIII K of Yamuna House and Saujanya Raj of VIII A of Yamuna House bagged third position. Medhavi Tikku of VIII A and Shirin of VIII H were awarded with the consolation prizes in the event.
Headmistress, Meenu Gupta lauded the confidence and critical thinking in students.
Principal, Ruchi Chabra urged the house to maintain the sanctity of freedom of thought and clothing.
She awarded the winners with trophies and certificates of merit.
The event was compared by Amodini Gupta and Mridul of VIII A and judged by Rohina Gupta and Vandana Sharma, Hindi faculty of the school.
In the end, Lotika, Faculty Member, Hindi Department presented the vote of thanks.
