Jammu’s IAS officer becomes Best Collector of Telangana

JAMMU, Aug 17: Dr.Yogitha Rana, IAS, daughter of the soil ,at present collector Nizamabad,Telengana State has brought laurels to the State when while recognising her outstanding contribution on Haritha Haram and other allied programmes initiated by the Telengana Government she was adjudged as Best Collector of the state .Under her able leadership and command against an uphill and challenging target of planting 3.35 crore saplings in Nizamabad the district was able to achieve more than 100% target by planting 3.43 crores saplings. Her phenomenal contribution on this front has received personal appreciations of Chief Minister Telengana K Chandrashekhar Rao who felicitated her with this prestigious award.
Yogita Rana also got national award for her contribution in NREGS this year by Government of India. She remained a brilliant student throughout her academic career , being a student of convent school and further she did her MBBS from Govt.Medical College,Jammu. In the year 2002 she qualified Civil Services exam and was alloted IRTS and thereafter again in the year 2003 she was able to qualify the prestigious exam now in IAS and was allotted Andhra (now Telengana ) cadre.
Earlier, she remained on deputation with J&K State for three years where she remained associated with UNDP, umeed and Himayat projects and did commendable work on that front too.
