UDHAMPUR, Aug 18: A young man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Samley Tawi under a bridge near Laddan Power House, here this morning.
The deceased, identified as Ajay Kumar Sharma (33) son of Vishwa Nath of village Sughlar, block Ghordi in Udhampur, had apparently fell from the bridge as the dead body was having multiple bone fractures. However, it was not clear whether he had jumped down from the bridge for committing suicide or someone threw him there, Police sources said and added that a case under Section 174 RPC has been registered in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, three persons were injured when a car was hit by truck near Tamater Morh, Kud National Highway, here today.
According to the reports, truck bearing registration number JK03E- 5932, hit the car JK20-2244 resulting into injuries to Sanjeet Kumar, son of Krishan Lal of Tirshi Khara, Harjeet Thapa, son of Suraj Ram Thapa of Katra and Rajesh, son of Bansi Lal of Sunderbani. The injured were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur and their condition was stated to be stable.
