2 Bihar smugglers held with 3 kg ‘ganja’

JAMMU, Aug 18: Police today arrested two narcotics smugglers of Bihar and recovered three kilograms of high quality purified `ganja’ from their possession.
The narcotics smugglers have been identified as Heera Sahu and Laalu, both residents of Bihar. Sahu was, however, putting up near Railway Station, Jammu, presently.
Police reports said a team of Trikuta Nagar police station headed by SHO Inspector Bharat Sharma developed an information and conducted raid outside the Railway Station and arrested both the narcotics smugglers.
At the time of raid, police recovered three kilograms high quality purified `ganja’ from the possession of narcotics smugglers.
Sahu was working as local conduit of narcotics smugglers while Laalu had brought the consignment from Bihar. The consignment had to be delivered at Gangyal.
However, before the smugglers could succeed in delivering the consignment, police conducted the raid and seized it.
A case against the accused has been registered under NDPS Act for further investigations.
