Grameen Bank organizes awareness programme

JAMMU, Aug 23: The Grameen Bank under the chairmanship of RK Chhibber in collaboration with NABARD organized awareness programme on the Pradhan Mantri’s Social Security Schemes at Govt High School  Maira Mandrian  under B/O Nardi.
Surinder Bhagat, Tehsildar, who was the chief guest on the occasion appreciated the efforts of the bank towards financial inclusion and emphasized on Education and Housing loans. Head Master, Government High School Maira Mandrian, Sudesh Pawar, guest of honour, also appreciated the efforts of the bank towards customer awareness.
Speaking on the occasion Vipan Gupta Manager MF&FI Department, J&K Grameen Bank informed the participants at length regarding the benefits of social security schemes named PMJJBY, PMSBY and Atal Pension Yojana. He further informed the gathering that these schemes have been designed to provide security cover to the poor population particularly those working in the unorganized sectors. He advised the people to avail this benefit  through nearest Grameen Bank Branch. He made people aware of new Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme) in which the premium rates to be paid by farmers have been brought down substantially so as to enable more farmers avail insurance cover against crop loss on account of natural calamities.
Area Manager Jammu Randhir Singh Billawria spoke at length about the various Bank/NABARD schemes.
Lead District Manager RK Koul spoke  about  various bank  schemes.
Representatives of various Line Departments also attended the programme.
Besides huge gathering, Panchs, Sarpanchs of the area also attended the said camp.
