JAMMU, Aug 23: Kathua District Rifle Association conducted 5th Kathua District Shooting Championship for boys and girls in Sub-Junior, Youth, Junior and Senior category in which around 80 shooters from various schools participated.
In Sub-Junior Pistol (girls), Deepika Sharma, Shivani and Mehak clinched Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
In Youth Pistol (boys), Suraj Puniya secured Gold medal, while Ajay Singh and Anupam Sharma bagged Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
In Sub-Junior Rilfe (girls), Janvi Puniya and Simran shared Gold medal, while Vishali and Mohini clinched Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
In Sub-Junior Rifle (boys), Karun, Deevansh and Jayesh Jasrotia bagged Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
In Youth Rifle (girls), Kritika, Tanisha and Manvi clinched Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
In Youth Rifle (boys), gold, silver and bronze medals were secured by Harshpal, Ashish Kumar and Arun Kumar respectively.
In Senior Rifle (women), Sarita and Rajni bagged Gold and Silver medals, whereas in Senior Rifle (men), Rajan bagged Gold medal, while Vishal and Deepak secured Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
The medals among the winners were distributed by Mohan Lal, SSP in presence of Kuldeep Jamwal, Senior Vice President JKRA, VS Pathania, Executive Member JKRA, Samar Dev Singh Charak, General Secretary, General Zorawar Singh Shooting Club, Paramjeet Singh, General Secretary Baramulla District Rifle Association, Rajiv Sharma from APS Janglot and Sharat Chander Singh, General Secretary Kathua District Rifle Association.
The matches were conducted by Rajesh Virdhy, Chief Coach, Tarun Dev Singh, Coach DPS and Surinder Singh.
