RAJOURI, Aug 27: A bandh call in Rajouri given by a few politicians with the help of some religious preachers against the killings in Kashmir valley did not witness much impact in Rajouri today.
A large number of vehicles were seen plying on the city road and majority of the shops were also opened. Several organizations alleged that this bandh call was politically motivated and they were not supporting the said call because they were not taken into confidence for any sort of bandh.
They also alleged that some politicians pressurized the Imams and Khateebs to used the loud speakers of Masjids for announcing the bandh call for their own political benefits.
However, bandh in Thannamandi, Darhal and Kotranka towns was little affective. The vehicles however, plied normally on the roads in these areas.
