JKLTF highlights demands of teaching fraternity

JAMMU, Aug 28: A meeting of the All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation was held today under the chairmanship of Balwan Singh Jamwal for discussing the burning issues and demands of the teaching fraternity.
The meet held threadbare discussion over the issues and expressed its resentment over alleged failure of the Government in resolving the just and genuine demands of the teaching community inspite of repeated requests and reminders.
They highlighted the demands, which include; immediate release of pending salary of SSA/RMSA/NPS and Mid Day Meal grants, filling of all vacant posts in School Education Department, cash in-lieu to the teachers at the time of their retirement at par with other State Government employees, Senior Teachers grade to the undergraduate teachers, regularization of all cadres of School Education at the time of their promotion, etc.
Balwan Singh, while addressing the meeting, strongly criticized the School Education Department for taking no action on genuine demands of the teaching community.
The Federation also expressed its serious concern over the alleged maladjustment of some genuine cases of teachers/ Masters and demanded their immediate modification on humanitarian ground.
The meeting was attended by Joginder Singh Manhas, Manga Ram Sharma, Sudershan Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Shamsher Singh, Naresh Chowdhary,  Tara Chand, Yasin Ahmad, Netar Singh, Dinesh Singh, Jyoti Parkash, Naresh Pal Sharma, Kuldeep Gupta, Rajinder Sharma and others.
