SPMR Commerce College organizes placement drive

JAMMU, Sept 29: The Career Counseling and Placement Cell of Government College of Commerce organized a placement drive in collaboration with IBM for its BPO across the country.
The programme was inaugurated by the Principal of the College Prof JL Bhagat, who spoke on the importance of providing training to students in soft skills, analytical and logical reasoning.
The programme began with a power point presentation by Manmeet Kaur, incharge Campus Recruitment Chandigarh, introducing the profile with regard to IBM Company and the job requirements of the BPO.
This was followed by six rounds of interviews which included Testing of English Grammar, Skills for Communication, Numeral Reasoning, Analytical and Logical Skills, Semi-Tech Aptitude, Tech Aptitude and Sales Aptitude of the participating students, besides a written test.
Over 100 students of B Com and BBA final year participated in the placement process, out of which eight students were selected. The selected students will be placed after completion of their degree courses.
The programme was coordinated by Prof Sunil Tikoo, Prof Anjali Mahajan, Prof Bharti Slathia and Prof SK Bhat.
