JAMMU, Sept 30: GDC Kathua lifted the Inter-Collegiate Kabaddi (Men) Trophy while PG Department won Inter-Collegiate Volleyball (M) Championship title in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Championships being held at University of Jammu (JU).
The final match of the Kabaddi (M) tournament was played between GDC Kathua and PG Department at Gymnasium Hall, JU, in which GDC Kathua beat PG Dept by 54–39 whereas the final of Volleyball (M) championship was played between GDC Hiranagar and PG Department, in which the later defeated the former by (3 – 0) sets with set score 30 – 28, 25 – 20 and 26 – 24.
Earlier in 1st semi-final of Volleyball (M) tournament, PG Department beat GDC Udhampur by (2 – 1) sets with set score 19 – 25, 25 – 19, 15 – 12 and in 2nd Semi-final, GDC Hiranagar defeated GDC Akhnoor by (2 – 0) sets with set score 28 -26, 25 – 22.
Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, JU, awarded the trophies to the winning teams.
The championships were organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu under the overall Supervision of Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
