JAMMU, Oct 6: Inter-Collegiate Championships for women in the disciplines of Volleyball and Kabaddi, being organized by Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, were played here today.
In Inter-Collegiate Volleyball Championship, GCW Parade will take on GWC Gandhi Nagar in the final tomorrow. Earlier in the first semifinal, GCW Parade beat GDC Samba by 2-0s, whereas in the second semis, GWC Gandhi Nagar registered win over PG Department by 2-1 sets.
The matches were witnessed by Suman Lata, Sumnesh Sharma, Gagan Kumar, Romesh Sharma and Vikas Karlopia.
The officials of the matches were Amit Sharma, Amarjeet Singh, Rakesh Jasrotia, Roshan Lal Sharma, Mulkh Raj Khajuria and Manmohan Sharma.
Meanwhile, in Inter-Collegiate Kabaddi Championship, GCW Parade registered win over GWC Gandhi Nagar by 4 points and lifted the title trophy.
Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu awarded the title trophy to the winning team and boosted the morale of the players.
Among others present were Sumnesh Sharma, Suman Lata, Ravish Vaid, Jai Bharat and Imran.
The match was officiated by Ajay Gupta, Anil Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Ankush Chib, Ankush Gupta, Vishal Jamwal, Keshav Singh, Amandeep Singh, Harpreet Singh, Raki Singh and Gagan Kumar.
The Championships were organized under the supervision of Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
