POONCH, Oct 8: A villager and his two minor children were injured when they were attacked by a bear in Saujian area of Mandi today.
A police spokesman said that incident took place when one Mohd Altaf had gone to nearby forest with his 7-year-old daughter Shabnam and minor son. While moving in the forest area suddenly, a full grown bear ambushed and caused serious injuries to them. Altaf was seriously injured while fighting with the wild beast to protect his children. They were shifted to Mandi hospital. Altaf was later referred to Jammu.
