Pilgrim dies of cardiac arrest

JAMMU, Oct 8: A Vaishno Devi pilgrim today died of alleged cardiac arrest at Railway Station Jammu.
According to a police spokesman, a man identified as Ram Kumar (45) son of Chottu Ram, resident of Ramnagar, district Panipat (Haryana), who was going to paying obeisance at Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra, with his wife in Swaraj Express, suddenly suffered a chest pain following which he was boarded off the train by her wife and then rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem while a case in this connection was registered at police station GRP Jammu.
