MC Samba launches anti- encroachment drive

SAMBA, Oct 8: Municipal Committee Samba (MCS) today launched an anti-encroachment drive in the town.
A team of the MCS removed encroachment from JK Bank Lane, Link Road, Border road and National Highway.
The Municipal Committee team was headed by Arun Saini, Khilafwarzi ,Navdeep Singh,Yash Dev Singh, Ashwani Singh and others.
A team of the MCS gave warning to several shopkeepers to keep their material away from the footpath or road. Shopkeepers in the Samba town especially as Link road and Border road. The team seized dozens of `Rehris’ who were found installed illegally on the road side by the people from outside the State.
The Deputy Commissioner received complaints regarding encroachment on National Highway, service lanes and main market points at Samba town.  The DC directed to the MCS staff to launch a drive. MCS cleared the areas and issued warning to the traders, Rehari walas/ Vendors and others for idle parking in the service lanes. The footpaths were also got cleared
Executive Office, MC Samba  Pritan Chand said that  the team  removed encroachments from the footpaths and asked the shopkeepers to refrain from such encroachments in future, otherwise strict action would be taken against them.
