Junior Khalsa registers 32 runs win over Khalsa-II, sail in next round

JAMMU, Oct 9: Junior Khalsa registered 32 runs win over Khalsa-II Cricket Club and sailed into the next round of the ongoing Sikh Premier League, being organized by Khalsa Club at Baba Jhulla Camp, Gole Gujral, Talab Tillo, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Junior Khalsa set a target of 154 runs by losing 9 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Navjot Singh played a splendid inning of 45 runs, while Ranjandeep Singh and Jatinder Singh contributed with 20 and 14 runs respectively.
From Khalsa-II Cricket Club side, Sukhbir Singh and Gangandeep Singh scalped 3 wickets each by conceding 25 and 27 runs respectively in their 4 overs spell, while Kabir Singh took one wicket by giving 34 runs in his 4 overs spell.
In the second inning, Khalsa-II Cricket Club failed to chase the target and made 122 runs by losing 7 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Amit Pal Singh was the highest scorer with 24 runs, while Jagmeet Singh and Ashish Singh scored 18 and 15 runs respectively.
Navjot Singh of Junior Khalsa was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Karanjeet Singh and Sushant Dutta as umpires, while Narinder Pal Singh and Devinder Singh acted as scorers.
On the occasion, Sant Tejwant Singh (Danna) was the chief guest, who awarded the winner team and impressed upon the youth to stay away from drugs and play sports for the overall development of their body.
