Cabinet approves setting up of IIM at Jammu

NEW DELHI:  The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today approved setting  up of an Indian Institute of Management(IIM) at Jammu, official sources said.
The approval to setting up of an IIM at Jammu is part of Prime Minister Mr Modi’s development package for Jammu and Kashmir, director general of PIB Frank Noronha said.
The IIM  project will involve an investment of Rs.61.90 crore for initial four years from 2016 to 2020. Initially, the IIM will be running its activities in a temporary premises. (Agencies)
