Former CWG medallist to compete on WBC Asia title undercard

New Delhi, Oct 14:
Former Commonwealth Games bronze-medallist Amandeep Singh will be among the six boxers who will compete on the undercard of tomorrow’s WBC Asia welterweight title bout between Neeraj Goyat and Australia Ben Kite here.
Titled ‘Battle for Asia’, the event to be held at Talkatora Stadium will feature three undercard bouts of four rounds each apart from the 12-round main contest.
The 24-year-old Goyat had won the title last year beating Filipino Nelson Gulpe and will be up against a rival who has an experience of nine bouts in the circuit.
Amandeep will square off former Federation Cup champion Sunil Sharma in the super featherweight division (59kg).
In the cruiserweight (91kg) category, multiple time national champion Kuldeep Singh will be up against Geetanand Singh.
In the super welterweight (70kg) category Dilbag Thakran will face Deepak Tanwar. (PTI)
