JAMMU, Oct 9: Jammu-A scored 132 runs in their first innings before reducing Jammu-B to 91 for 5 at the end of opening day’s of the second test match of the Diwali Cup Under-12 2-Day Matches Cricket Tournament, organized by Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC), Jammu at Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy, here today.
Batting first, Jammu-A made 132 runs by losing all the wickets in 52.5 overs. Aarav Mahajan made 25 runs off 57 balls, while Shivansh scored 18 runs in 55 balls and Chandan chipped in 18 runs off 46 balls.
For Jammu-B side, Karmaya was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 4 important wickets by giving 24 runs in 10 overs, while Neetyam took 3 wickets by conceding 29 runs in 14 overs and Akshit claimed 2 wickets by giving 21 runs in 12 overs.
In reply to Jammu-A’s modest first innings total, Jammu-B kept losing wickets at regular interval and was reeling at 91 for five in 27 overs when the stumps were drawn today.
At the close of play, Arjun Parth was at 41 runs off 86 balls was at the crease. Ansh made 12 runs in 6 balls, while Amay scored 7 runs in 10 balls.
For Jammu-A, Vasu was pick of the bowler, who took four wickets by giving only 21 runs in 10 overs, while Prabjot scalped one wicket by giving 12 runs in 4 overs.
The match is being officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Vinod Kandyara.
