APS Dhar Road lifts Inter-School Debate Competition trophy

UDHAMPUR, Oct 15: Army Public School (APS), Dhar Road emerged winner in the Inter-School Hindi and English Debate Competition.
In the competition, students from Brahma Rishi Bawara Shanti Vidhya Peeth School, Army Public School Udhampur, Delhi Public School and Happy Model School Udhampur participated.
The topic for the debate in English was ‘Should Reservation System be followed in India?’ and for Hindi debate was ‘Manav Kitevrgati Hi Uska Vinash Ka Karan Hai?’.
The event was inaugurated with lamp lightining, followed by Saraswati Vandana and words of motivation and encouragement from Principal, APS, Dhar Road, Ramma Raina.
The English debate was judged by Prof Sudhir Singh from Government Degree College Women, Udhampur and Pinaki Bakshi from Bhartiya College of Education , while the Hindi debate was adjudged by Rahul Sharma from Government Degree College Women, Udhampur and Jyoti Sharma from Bhartiya College of Education.
It was a tough fight in each category, displaying the tremendous hard work. There was a fierce competition amongst the students. The audience and the judges were highly impressed with growing talent.
The sparkling trophy was clinched by APS Dhar Road in both Hindi and English debate, while the runner-up was APS Udhampur.
In the end, Ramma Raina, Principal, APS Dhar Road presented vote of thanks.
