JAMMU, Oct 2: Akhnoor police today arrested a person and recovered 45 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs about supplying of liquor during Gandhi Jayanti, police party from Akhnoor Police Station led by SHO Mahesh Sharma, conducted a raid at village Koudawala, tehsil Akhnoor and arrested a person namely Babu Ram, son of Shiv Ram. Forty five pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession, he added.
A case under FIR number 225/12 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor.
